I look forward to our annual family photo session. Taking family photos isn't what it once was. I'll admit that in the past I haven't been the most relaxed person when it comes to snapping family photos. There is something about that uncomfortable irritation that starts to creep up when you can't get your babies/toddlers to cooperate. You don't want to seem too uptight in front of the photographer, yet you can't help but want to cry when your three kids are running in different directions.
This year I vowed to make a change. Yep, I was going to RELAX and GO WITH THE FLOW. Thanks to a very patient and talented friend of mine, we were able to get some great pictures this year. If only Carson would have had his eyes open it would have been the one for our card this year. However, it is my favorite picture by far.
I love that it captures each family member's personality perfectly. There's sweet Mason who is peeking over my shoulder. Then we have boisterous Carson making his presence known to the world. Ethan is so full of life yet so gentle at the same time. Eric and I are sitting back and taking in every moment that this parenthood thing has to offer. Even the most difficult days are blessed days.
Thanks Yi-Fang for taking these priceless pictures of our wild bunch. We're definitely framing this one!
