Last night we both got to hold the boys. It was such a great experience for the both of us. Eric held Mason during a feeding and I finally got to hold Carson for the first time. We saw them today and we got a great progress report on the both of them. Carson has gained a little bit of weight and they are both handling the feedings really well. Right now they are both being fed through a tube in their tummies but in about 3 weeks they will start to bottle feed. Mason eats a little more than Carson but I'm sure he will catch up to his brother very soon! They took the c pap (the thing on their nose) off and I'm sure they love that!! Our highlight of the day is going to see them. Ethan can say both of their names and likes to look at their pictures. We'll of course post more pictures this week. Thanks for checking our blog!

So, on Thursday May 24, 2007, Mason Robert Payne and Carson Joseph Payne thought it would be fun to arrive 10 weeks early. Cindy woke up cramping, and drove over to St. Rose Siena hospital in Henderson, NV. Eric was in England. He arrived back home the next day.
Around 1:18pm Thursday afternoon, Dr. Fleischer completed the emergency C-section, and Mason and Carson were born.
Since they are several weeks premature, they were transferred to UMC Hospital, which has a level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is one of the best in the area. We visit them every day, and we'll be posting pictures often.
