Say no to crack

Ahhhh....how wonderful it is to enter the world of potty training again! Sensing the sarcasm? The truth is I HATE potty training with a passion! If I could pay someone to come in and potty train the twins I would! The thought of going through this again when I feel like we just finished with Ethan is nauseating. And we get to do it with two instead of one. Sweet deal.

I really shouldn't complain. Carson has been pretty easy. With the exception of a few accidents, he is pretty much done. Phew! Now if we can just get him to stop putting his underwear on backwards.....

2 down and 1 to go! We can do it, we can do it, we can do it!

Growing up!

I knew the day would come. I tried to fight it as long as I possibly could. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the idea of my boys becoming more self sufficient. The thought of one day not having to prepare 3 meals and multiple snacks a day excites me. I just wasn't ready for it to come so soon.

I was having a particularly challenging afternoon with Ethan. He was hungry. I wasn't in the mood to hear him whine. Everything I offered was met with irritation on his part....and mine! So, after 30 minutes of back and forth banter, I got to the bottom of it. He was hungry and angry that I was offering to make him a sandwich. He wanted to do it himself. After many deep breaths and fighting the urge to critique his pb&j sandwich making skills, we survived! Not only did we survive, we exchanged high fives and hugs....and a lecture on why you don't lick knives.

So proud of my little man. *sniff*

Easter 2010

This year we did an Easter egg hunt at Rio Secco golf course, located in our old neighborhood. So glad we did because it resulted in 3 happy boys and two seriously happy parents. The boys had a chance to score some candy, jumping time in a bounce house, and free popcorn and cotton candy. The adults (or Eric I should say) participated in an adult egg hunt (some eggs had major prizes inside) which ended in us winning a free gardener for a day through a landscaping business!!! This couldn't have come at a better time. The task of cleaning up the yard has sounded about as appealing as a colonoscopy. It was a great time indeed!

Surprisingly no adults were harmed in the hunt.

Wanna play?

A sword fighting Easter bunny? Sure.

Right after the hunt!

I love this photo! Look at how happy the twins are....just found only 3 eggs filled with candy. Yet they are over the moon. Ethan on the otherhand was angry because he had to share some of his 50 or so eggs with his brothers. Classic.

The harassment of the Easter bunny begins....

Now we're starting to perk up after a little candy. Life isn't so bad after all.

Easter Part 2

We started our Easter festivities early in the week by coloring eggs at Christina's house. It only took the boys spilling 3 cups of water with food coloring for it to be a success! Thanks again to our sweet friends for offering their home for this fun activity.

Right before he knocked the cup of yellow over....oops!

Here we go!

Getting a little frustrated with trying to balance an egg on a metal wire. Why do they make this such an impossible task? Even I had trouble with it!
